The most beautiful baby in the whole world, besides my own for sure is 2 months old and counting. Duane and I traveled to Peoria to celebrate Justin's birthday a week late and to see our new grandbaby again. She is a happy baby and loves to watch her Mom. Her eyes light up when she sees both Mom and Dad. It is so fun to watch. Maybe her eyes will light up one day when she sees us. However, in the meantime, it is sure fun to take pics of her. Enjoy this set.

Can it be true? There is a real swan in Gahanna? For those who have read my blog in the past remembered my "funny" story about swans in Gahanna that turned out to be fake unbenowndst to me. I was taking pics in Gahanna and found this swan. Amazing and she is real. Just wanted to prove that I do know what a "real" swan looks like. Feel free to look at my past pics to see the "fake" swan.

Sad sad swan story

I know everyone is waiting to hear my sad story of my Gahanna swans. They were so beautiful you see and I loved them. It was a joyous day when I first saw them and photographed them. Then April 1st came. You would think that this was a day for pranks, but actually turned out a day of reconning. The very person that told me about these great creatures, was the same who burst my bubble. How could that be? Well, as the story goes is this. They are FAKE. Yes, indeed they are. My office manager broke the news this morning. The funny story... She had been giving them crackers everyday and realized they were not eating. So, one of the other nurses and she went to the pond to see if they were okay. That is when they realized they were plastic. I never saw it. I'm sure because I was being a GREAT photographer and looking through my lens and getting that great shot. So today, I took that walk again and low and behold, they were as plastic as plastic can be. I think I have never felt so foolish but it felt good to laugh that hard. Everyone got a kick out of me actually taking pictures of them. My response? At least I didn't feed them everyday! True story. Unfortunately, not April Fools!

The swans of Gahanna, 365

I was having a dreary day at work and while at lunch, my office manager mentioned that we had swans in the pond behind our building. I remembered from my failed photo shoot yesterday that I had my camera in the car. So, I quickly ran and got it. These are the most beautiful creatures that I have ever seen. They totally moved in sync with each other while not taking their eyes off of me. What a great day it turned out to be. Enjoy. Be sure and double click on the picture to see their detail.

Took a walk behind our house here in Dublin. It was finally 70 degrees today and time to catch up on the photography. I just got tired of "old man winter" pictures. So Spring has begun even though we have more days of cold. I will repeat these pictures when the green comes along soon, I hope.

I love barns. I'm taking 4 seasons of this one. I have to go back and get the right angle before I print it. We just had that huge snow storm and I wanted to get it with all the snow.

We got hit with it again. Just capturing the damage on the camera. This made us a level 2 snow emergency which means, for those of you in the south, you are not supposed to drive unless you have too. My office was closed so I didn't have to.

These are pictures all from today. It is still snowing like crazy. When I saw the pictures above, I thought I had water on my lense. Who know's what it really is? Yes, snowflakes. It was snowing that hard. I love this tree in the backyard. I thought it looked like a winter postcard.

I only posted this picture because I've been at church all day literally and didn't have time to take any pictures. Also because it is snowing to beat the band right now and I miss summer too much especially seeing all your beautiful pictures from the south. I did take this picture right after I got my camera this summer so I decided to use it to protest our weather. I know that isn't Christian but it makes me feel better? LOL

This picture is of Lauren during Field Hockey this fall when the ball hit her on the nose and broke it. The funny thing was, she was in warmups but felt very proud of herself. She got great black eyes after this. The black under her eyes now is what they put on their face I guess to deflect the sun? Who knows, they feel more powerful I guess. Also, the reason you have seen her a lot is because she's my last child at home. The others have left me and of course their father as well. They have the nerve to grow up and leave the nest.

My husband Duane and I have been married 29 years this last December 29th. This is what he gave me for my anniversary and thought appropriate to take my first picture of this year in our honor. The piece is called "Anniversary" by Willow Tree.
